to me
“Hello,
Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.
We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as for our advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to decline any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content.
Please note that we may not be able to respond to inquiries regarding the specific reasons for our decision. (bold print mine) Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team”
So what does this tell me. LOOSER.

I started two different blogs to see which one I liked the best. Up to this point WordPress was winning because I found it easier to get to the back office to add new posts, check stats, etc. The only thing I didn’t like is WordPress makes you pay for an upgrade in order to advertise on your blog, (or buy a .com website for $18 a year.) BlogSpot did not. Their program for using your blog to allow advertisers to post ads is AdSense. It obviously isn’t easy to be part of, nor are they friendly enough to be able to reach them.
“Thank you for your understanding.”  Don’t be so presumptuous!

Build, Send, Profit Program

Standard

Today I watched one of the teaching videos from Anthony Morrison. I receive emails from both Anthony and his brother Adrian. This one was about an automated way to send out email to make profits online. It was called the Build, Send, Profit Program. The cost was $497.00. It appears to be an online program with a DVD and workbook. The mentor? Where is the mentor?

As with most of the learning tool that I have viewed, the information dates back to 2010-2011, some maybe, the spring of 2012. The Internet changes so quickly. Websites and tools are updated consistently. I often wonder if the instructions work as efficiently, this being 2013.

Did I buy it? No, I can’t afford that.

So for now I’ll stumble through on my own.

BTW Thanks to www.morguefile.com for the picture.

New Years Resolution 2013

Standard

Because of a bridal shower today, I will post this now. As I quietly sit with a cup of Joe, warming myself from the brutal 6 degree weather, I stumbled upon this in my document file . . .

cz

In the year 2013, I’m going to count my blessings, as there are many that tend to slip past me. I’m going to commit myself to being open to making money. I’m going to be honest with myself that there will be set backs, disappointments, and a few rocks in the road. But, with humbling myself to reach out for the abundant help that is offered, I know I will succeed. I promise myself to conduct myself as a businessperson at home and not as a work-at-home pajama gal. (Although let’s admit it, there will be times).

And . . . daily I’m going to remind myself that I am doing this to bring my husband home after 32 years of working hard to provides a means for our family of 6 children, now grown and on their own.

Happy Holidays Everyone,

Harden not your Hearts.

Keep on keepin’ on.

Because of a wedding, two children starting college and babies coming, I seem to be lost in getting the house ready for out-of-state visitors. I think the count is up to seven so far.

All of this ‘grand issues of life’ stuff has made my focus somewhat foggy.

I am also taking a course on writing for children, both young and middle grade. This part of my life brought an opportunity for me to take a two week class on Social Media. But, it’s the other side of the coin of social media. It’s the side I want to advertise to. My interest was to understand how people use that spidery web of communication. There is so much I don’t know about it.

My other reason for taking the class is to use it as an author. You know, to publicize myself, my writing, etc. I was hoping I could gain information on both ends. Yet, it seems to be taking me away from the affiliate marketing part of my learning experience. So I guess I need to apologize that I haven’t any new information to share today. (again)

Free Photos on morguefile

Standard

Today I learned about a resource on the Internet where you can get free photos to use on your websites, blogs or better yet to use in ads for affiliate marketing. Take a look.

So for the sake of experience, allow me to pick one out and post it here. Something to sum up my day . . . Lady Luck! Someone found the $20 bill I lost at Wal-Mart.  ;-(

I remember from watching Adrian Morrison’s DVD’s that there will be times you will want intriguing photos for advertising offers. Not everyone runs around with a camera 24/7.

Monday Multi-tasking

Standard

There was a time in my life I went through bankruptcy, foreclosure, a tax audit and menopause. That’s the kind of multi-tasking you experience only once in your life (if you’re unlucky). Thank God for these odds.

As hard as I try to divide my week up into daily ventures, I seem to get things piled up on me.

Today I started a class, “How to be a Social Media Superstar.” It’s through the website,  http://www.writeruniv.com/, and taught by Lisa Pietsch. Its a 14 day class and by the time I’m finished, I’ll have mastered the entire Internet. Uh-ha!

Besides delving into Day One, I focused back on my dilemma of the SMLearning Center. After a phone call to the help center I was given another week of free usage to see if using FireFox browser helps relieve the problem of getting caught in the loop of continually being asked for my password every time I try to use one of the tools. I put the password in, I get to the tool page and I get sent back and have to once again put my username and password in. (Even using the suggested browser, FireFox) Gadzooks! Time for another phone call.

Grab it and stuff it in a bottle or a sock drawer. It’s fabulous when you stand in a moment that you never want to end. You have to grab it when you can, cherish it, and be willing to accept that it won’t last for ever.

What do we do with those painful days? We accept the hope that it won’t last forever, cherish that thought and grab on for dear life.

Life is full of the good and the bad. And you know what, so it the blasted SMLearning Center. I got into it today and was able to use the tools, URL Scraper was one of them. It worked. So I tested the waters. I signed out, signed back in and it didn’t work. (again) Monday is the day I call the company before they charge me $49.95 to use this Learning Center. I’M PRESENTLY UNDER A FREE PREVIEW. Maybe it works right when you actually pay them money.

::sigh::

Time is flying by . . .

Standard

My theme for today is unfinished business.

Tomorrow I will be making the call to decide if I want to pay $49.95 to stay in the Learning Center for one more month. The real decision is will I use it to it’s full potential? This is my unfinished business as time is flying by and the 15th is soon upon me.

Today was spent taking care of college business with our daughter. It starts in two weeks. I can’t believe we are already one third of the way through January 2013.

I’ve started the year with big plans. The biggest challenge has been setting up a schedule that works for my life. The drawbacks of working at home is losing control of time management. What I have dome is set up a day for each of the endeavors I am involved with. So far I am on task. (Except for the continued reading of Adrian Morrison’s books)
